Banking Speed Drill — Timed Practice for IBPS & SBI PO

Section-wise timed drills tuned to banking exam pace. Quant, Reasoning, and English sprints with 1-minute-per-question targets. Free to practice.

Why banking exams reward speed

IBPS PO Prelims gives you 20 minutes per section — roughly 45-60 seconds per question. Most candidates know how to solve most questions; the differentiator is who can solve them fast enough under pressure.

Speed Drill is not a mock. It is focused, relentless practice on a single question-type at an aggressive pace: 30 Data Interpretation questions in 20 minutes, or 25 Seating Arrangement puzzles in 25 minutes. You build muscle memory for pattern recognition, not just knowledge.

Available drill types

Drills are organized by section and then by topic within section. Pick the drill that targets your slowest topic.

  • Quant: Data Interpretation, Number Series, Quadratic Equations, Simplification/Approximation, Arithmetic Word Problems
  • Reasoning: Seating Arrangement (Linear/Circular), Puzzle, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Input-Output, Blood Relations, Directions
  • English: Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test, Error Spotting, Para Jumbles, Fill in the Blanks

How to use drills effectively

Start with longer-time drills (1 minute per question) for 2 weeks. Drop to 45-second-per-question drills once your accuracy crosses 75%. Then drop to 30-second drills for the final 2 weeks before exam.

Do NOT skip the review step. After each drill, the system shows you which questions took you longest and where you made errors. Spend 15-20 minutes reviewing those specific patterns before your next drill.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is Speed Drill different from Mock Test?

Mock Test simulates the full exam — all sections, full time, exam anxiety. Speed Drill isolates one question-type and runs you against a clock until the pattern becomes automatic. Both are necessary; drills for skill, mocks for integration.

Are the drill questions from previous papers?

Mix. Roughly 40% are PYQs from the last 5 years of banking exams, 60% are AI-generated to match the exact pattern and difficulty. The AI-generated questions keep the practice fresh — students who have seen all PYQs start to memorize them, which defeats the purpose.

What is a good speed drill score?

After 4-6 weeks of daily practice, target 80%+ accuracy at the target pace (45 seconds per question for Quant, 30 seconds for English). If your accuracy is below 65% at the drill's default pace, the pace is too fast for now — use the 'Easy pace' option until you catch up.

Can I customize drill length and pace?

Yes. Default drills are 20-30 questions in 15-25 minutes. You can configure: number of questions (10/20/30/50), pace (easy/standard/exam-pace), and difficulty (mixed/hard-only/medium-only).

Are drills useful for RBI Grade B?

Yes, especially for Phase 1 where the Quant and Reasoning sections follow banking exam patterns. RBI Grade B Phase 1 has a longer time per question than IBPS PO, so use the "Easy pace" drill setting to mirror that.

Do I need to be logged in?

No. Speed Drill is available without signup for 10 attempts per day. Logging in saves your speed-accuracy history so you can track improvement over weeks.
